Samudra Gupta joined Indian Railways on 20 July 1983 in Gwalior. Over 38 years, he served across Nagpur, Jhansi, Gwalior, and Prayagraj divisions — maintaining A-route tracks, building new BG links, conducting USFD testing, and coordinating engineering operations.
After retiring as ADEN Etawah in 2021, he continued with RVNL overseeing the Jhansi-Kanpur doubling, then as Resident Engineer, and most recently as Sector Expert under PSSA.
